Montblanc can already look back on a history of over 100 years and has repeatedly taken up the reference to the company’s roots in various collections and reinterpreted them. The Heritage collection is specifically dedicated to this motto, honoring Montblanc’s achievements and pioneering spirit. Even in the early years after the company was founded, the perfectionism and specialness of a Montblanc writing instrument was palpable and recognizable. These early years also saw the development of many well-known shapes of fountain pens, which can be found in the Heritage collection. More than almost any other series, a wide variety of designs and functions can be found under one name. Just how good the hundred-year-old designs were and are can be seen from the fact that the pens have hardly been changed.

A special feature of the Montblanc Heritage series is the form factor. The many different editions come in sizes and proportions not found in any other collection. For example, the writing instruments of the Rouge et Noir editions are very popular with many fans of handwriting. Due to the elongated and narrow shape, these pens fit very well and elegantly in the hand and do not let the writer tire even after long sessions. The lacquered brass barrels of this edition also give the writing instruments a very pleasant weight that conveys quality without putting too much strain on the hand. Among our favorites are the Egyptomania editions, which are particularly eye-catching due to their octagonal barrels. Engravings in Egyptian hieroglyphics and scarab motifs on clip and nib round off the unique look of these writing instruments and are reminiscent of the models from the 1920s.
