Pope Julius II

Pope Julius II was an Italian Renaissance pope who is known for his bold and ambitious leadership. Born Giuliano della Rovere in 1443, Julius II was the son of a poor fisherman and grew up in a small village in Italy. Despite his humble beginnings, Julius II rose to become one of the most powerful and influential figures of his time.

Julius II became pope in 1503, and immediately set about implementing his vision for the Catholic Church. He was a strong and decisive leader, and was known for his bold and ambitious plans for the Church.
