Patron of Art

The Patron of Art collection is probably the most famous collection of writing instruments from Montblanc. Unlike other collections, this series contains only fountain pens in the 4810 and 888 editions. This limited edition is supplemented by very limited Artisan editions of the same patrons. In 2022, the collection has come to its fitting conclusion with the Victoria and Albert edition, which has spawned over 30 editions. The focus of this collection is on historical figures who have performed a special service to society through their patronage of the arts and culture.
Many of the writing instruments in the Patron of Art series are popular collector’s items and have increased in value significantly in recent years. Of particular interest to collectors are pens in their original as-delivered condition, also known as “sealed.” These pens achieve significantly higher prices and are therefore also popular as an investment. This collection is also particularly attractive as an exhibit, because the pens come in a high-gloss lacquered wooden box with artistic engraving and individually designed outer packaging. Material and design are always strongly based on the model to be honored and reflect the personality or actions in many details. We are proud to be able to offer you all writing instruments of this collection, gladly also as a complete collection. We are always there for you to answer open questions about the Patron of Art series and help you complete your collection.
