If a Montblanc fountain pen deserves the title of icon, then it is the Meisterstück No. 149, also known as "The Cigar". The largest of the classic fountain pens is very popular with heads of state all over the world. The pen became particularly famous when Konrad Adenauer lent his No. 149 to John F Kennedy when he forgot his own pen during a state visit.
