Social Commitment

At Handelshaus Rheinländer, we firmly believe that our success is also closely linked to our commitment to society. We are proud to support various social projects and initiatives that improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people and open up new opportunities for them. In this context, we are particularly committed to the areas of education, health and sport. Here we would like to give you an overview of our most important social commitments.

Amalie Weingarten outpatient children’s hospice service

"Riesling helps" - under this motto, the Rheinländer trading house, Deutschen & Söhne, and the Ravensburg graphic designer Rainer Weishaupt have joined forces to combine enjoyment and social commitment. The concept is simple and a win-win situation for everyone involved: The Rheinländer GmbH trading house purchases an excellent German Riesling from the local wine merchant Deutschen & Söhne, has the labels enhanced with a personalized caricature by the award-winning Ravensburg graphic designer, and donates a fixed amount for each bottle to a specially selected social project. This time the donation recipient was the AMALIE outpatient children's and youth hospice service from Weingarten, which provides an essential service for families in the district to help them cope with grief.

With all the international business with stationery and capital investments, the Rheinländer trading house would like to focus specifically on regional players and is therefore pleased to make a small contribution to the invaluable task of the hospice service. Special thanks go to the partners in the realization of this project.

Radio 7 Drachenkinder

1,500€ November 2022

We at Handelshaus Rheinländer are proud to be a leading retailer of Montblanc writing instruments. We believe in always providing our customers with the highest quality writing instruments, but we also believe in giving back to our community and making a positive impact. That's why we are pleased to announce a donation of €1500 to the Radio 7 Drachenkinder.

Radio 7 Drachenkinder is an organisation that supports sick, disabled or traumatised children and young people in general in the Radio 7 broadcast area. Radio 7 Drachenkinder offers a variety of programmes to help children and young people lead healthy and fulfilling lives. Whether through counselling, therapy or educational support, Radio 7 Drachenkinder is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in our community.

Whether through donations, volunteering or other forms of support, companies have a unique opportunity to improve the lives of others. We strive to take this responsibility seriously and make a meaningful contribution to the well-being of our community.

Opportunities through Learning in Uganda eV

1,200€ December 2020

Education is the key to a better life and we at Handelshaus Rheinländer are committed to providing children in Uganda with access to education. Through our partnership with Chancen durch Lernen in Uganda eV, we support schools, educational programs and projects that aim to provide young people in Uganda with a solid basic education and career prospects.

In the children's home run by Opportunities through Learning in Uganda eV, Christmas time is the most exciting time of the year. All the children have their holidays and the house is full of life. Everyone - young and old - looks forward to spending the days together with the now huge family at home in the SMILE Home. Opportunities through Learning in Uganda eV currently supports one student, two trainees, fifteen secondary school children and nine primary school children. A few children who would otherwise have to live on the streets have also found a home in the SMILE Home. A full house, however, means that the sanitary facilities are reaching their limits in terms of capacity. In Uganda, the toilet and bathroom are usually located outside the house, in a small facility next to the main building.

Sonja Reischmann Foundation

1,000€ February 2023

The Rheinländer trading house is committed to the social well-being of our society and is proud to support the Sonja Reischmann Foundation with a donation of €1,000. The foundation is passionate about helping socially disadvantaged children in the Ravensburg district and individual projects in the Paderborn area. Founded by the successful entrepreneur Sonja Reischmann, the foundation carries on her wish to give children a carefree childhood and good educational opportunities - regardless of their background.

Sonja Reischmann was a visionary entrepreneur who built her fashion company with creativity and hard work. Despite her business success, she always had a strong social conscience. On December 29, 2004, she founded the Sonja Reischmann Foundation in Ravensburg. Unfortunately, she died just a few months later from the effects of her cancer. But her legacy lives on - her foundation is committed to ensuring that no child is forgotten.

Sports sponsorship in youth football for SV Weingarten D-Jugend

Sport is an important part of the personal and social development of children and young people. For this reason, we are involved in sports sponsorship and support the D-youth team of SV Weingarten. Through our partnership, we help to provide young talents with a platform on which they can develop their skills and live out their passion for football.

The traditional football club SV Weingarten 1907 eV is based in the Lindenhof Stadium, which offers an impressive variety of sports facilities for competitive and amateur athletes. The stadium is not only a meeting place for football fans, but also for other sports and events.

The Lindenhof Stadium has 600 covered seats, which allow spectators to enjoy a pleasant stay during the games. The stadium restaurant, which has a large terrace and invites you to spend some relaxing hours, takes care of the visitors' physical well-being.

SV Weingarten and other clubs benefit from a variety of sports facilities and competition venues. These include a total of three grass pitches, one of which serves as a stadium pitch and two others are used as training pitches. There is also an additional training pitch near the schools. The athletes also have access to a modern artificial turf pitch that can be used in any weather.

The Rheinländer trading company is delighted to be the proud main sponsor of a club rich in tradition. The jersey impresses with its color combination of anthracite and black, which not only looks timeless and elegant, but also symbolizes the determination and team spirit of the team.

Our logo is prominently displayed as a sponsor. As a company with regional roots, it is an honor for us to promote sport and the community and at the same time present the Handelshaus Rheinländer brand to the public.
