Montblanc Patron of Art
Art and culture are, in a sense, the core of Montblanc's corporate philosophy. It is therefore no surprise that, in addition to the Writers Edition, another collection within the Limited Editions range has a cultural focus: the Patron of Art series. This series is not about the artists themselves, but rather about individuals who have supported art and culture. These are all patrons who influenced the cultural development of their respective eras. The Patron of Art series commemorates these individuals who significantly shaped the course of world history.
Like the author editions, the Patron of Art series has also been available since 1992. In addition to the time limit, there has also been a limited number of copies produced, at least since 1995. Until 1994, the number 4810 marked the production limit. Since 1995, alongside the "4810" series, there has been another Patron of Art series limited to only 888 copies. The "888" series differs in design, using even more exquisite and exclusive materials. For example, fine gold was often used instead of sterling silver.
The Patron Of Art awards also touch upon all eras of human history since antiquity: from Gaius Maecenas to Peggy Guggenheim.
