Montblanc Patron of Art
Art and culture are in a way the nucleus of Montblanc's corporate philosophy. So it is not surprising that, in addition to the Writers Edition, another collection in the field of limited editions has a cultural focus: the Patron Of Art series. This is not about the cultural creators themselves, but about personalities who have promoted art and culture. These are all patrons who have influenced the cultural development of their respective eras. The Patron Of Art series commemorates these people, who have played a key role in shaping the course of world history.
Like the writer's editions, the Patron of Art has been around since 1992. In addition to the time limit, there was also a limit on the number of pieces from the beginning, at least from 1995. Until 1994, the number 4810 marked the limit. Since 1995, in addition to the "4810s", there has also been another series of Patron Of Art limited to just 888 pieces. The "888s" differ in design in that even more exquisite and exclusive materials were used in their production. For example, fine gold was often used instead of sterling silver.
The Patron Of Art also touches on all eras of human history since antiquity: from Gaius Maecenas to Peggy Guggenheim.
